Electronics power modern digital computers. It can be described as a counting device since it receives numerical data, processes it, and outputs a numerical result. Information is a common name for the digital computer’s output result. The digital computer receives DATA as input, processes it, and outputs the information or the outcome.

The Block Diagram of Computer:

A computer can process data, images, sounds, graphics, and more. Even the most complex issues can be rapidly and precisely solved by computers. The figure below displays a block diagram of Digital computer. The computer is made up mostly of the three blocks listed below, into which it splits each given instruction.

Central Processing Unit

The most crucial part of a computer system in terms of functionality is a Central Processing Unit, or CPU. Any computer is essentially useless without a CPU. Because of the enormous amount of tasks it completes, it is frequently referred to as the “brain” of the computer. In essence, a CPU is a piece of hardware that manages data intake, output, processing, and storage for a computer system. For all computer system functions, it serves as the primary control point.

Input unit

The input unit is the instruction that is given to the computer. A user computer’s input unit is an input device used to enter any type of data. Because a computer cannot interpret a user’s instructions, a user must utilize an input device to communicate instructions or deliver raw data to a computer. The input device provides the user’s data to the computer in binary format since computers can interpret binary language. Keyboards, mice, scanners, and other input devices come in a variety of designs.

Output Unit

After the input device has processed the data, it is up to the output devices to display the results. It could appear as a text, graphic, audio, or image file. The visual components are displayed on the screen via these devices. Output devices include, for instance: Printers, monitors, Speakers, Projectors, etc.

5. After that, you can keep this output if you believe that we will still need it in the future. As soon as it is saved, this output is moved from main memory to secondary memory.
